GEOLOCATION SYSTEM FOR ISO CONTAINERS IN CARGO TERMINALS
Locates the location of the ISO container on the terminal with an accuracy of 2.5-5.0 cm (1.0-2.0 inches). Can be integrated with accounting and management systems.
Together with the container number recognition system, it increases the efficiency of loading and unloading operations by 20-30%.
  • The system is based on two main subsystems: high-precision positioning and recognition of container numbers based on CCTV camera data.
  • At the moment of capturing the container, its number and type are recognized. And at the moment of setting up of the container, the coordinate and height are fixed.
  • Thus, the system does not depend on the actions of the operator to fix the position of the container and allows to determine the real position of the container at the terminal at any time.

AFTER THE SYSTEM IS IMPLEMENTED:
  • The correct installation of the container in the port occurs automatically, without human intervention.
  • After installation, data from real geographic coordinates are converted into virtual coordinates/cells that are used in cargo planning.
  • This system does not require a dispatcher who processes data from equipment.
  • When implementing the system, additional driver training is not required.
  • The system is easy to use - the operator just sometimes needs to confirm the visible container number if the system is not sure about the data it receives.
